PCRD empowers communities through diverse partnerships, cutting-edge research, data analytics, and innovative tools, collaborating with regional and Purdue University partners to deliver impactful, real-world solutions for sustainable and strategic development.

Remote Work Alliance

The program helps individuals identify in-demand jobs and acquire necessary skills, assists employers in sourcing and retaining talent, enhances career advisors' expertise, and promotes collaboration with workforce development boards to support Hoosiers and businesses in Indiana.

Remote Work Certificate

In collaboration with Utah State University Extension, we offer a month-long specialized training program combining online modules and hands-on workshops to equip individuals with the essential tools and skills for success in remote work, whether as telecommuters, freelancers, or aspiring entrepreneurs.

Meatpacking Workforce

The program provides tailored technical support, comprehensive training, and supplementary activities to help small rural businesses with fewer than 50 employees and under $1 million in revenue grow and thrive, aiming to empower and nurture the entrepreneurial landscape within these communities.

Spanish Reality

A joint initiative with Ivy Tech Community College equips educators to teach Spanish and English as a second language, and collaborates with local industries to enhance workforce language skills for better communication and productivity in multicultural workplaces.

Regional Planning

PCRD provided technical support and strategic guidance to the following regional initiatives: Southeast Indiana Regional Planning Commission's Economic Resilience Plan and Eastern Indiana Regional Planning Commission's Comprehensive Economic Development Strategies.
