Several projects for INDOT and Purdue Polytechnic are in progress in this area. The report is comprised of roughly 80 slides and provides a comprehensive overview of supply and demand including industries, occupations, jobs postings, CIP analysis, Gap analysis, and Automation. It is recommended that the workforce analysis report should be completed for a region.

Regions ask for such analysis to assess future shocks such as closure of fossil-fuel based electricity generation plant in southern Indiana or closure of a coal mine or closure of the Indiana Beach Recreational Park. Alternatively, regions ask for such analysis to fulfill grant requirements for proposed projects, in particular grant applications for the Economic Development Administration. The team has access to several economic models and very experienced in running economic impact scenarios. Impact analysis work has been done under the auspices of the EDA University Center Grant.
