Focus Groups Meetings
Whether in person or virtual, the purpose of focus groups is to generate reliable qualitative data that expands upon a topic that’s being explored for research interests or practical implementation (or both). PCRD has used focus groups as part of a comprehensive methodology to either:
- Generate ideas for survey questions/expand upon responses to survey questions.
- Dig deeper into a theme that cannot be explained solely by quantitative methodology.
- Balance out a data set by inviting members of under-represented populations to voice their opinions.
