The last couple of weeks have been filled with Engagement celebrations! Our 11th annual engagement awards ceremony was held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023. Individuals and groups honored included:

On Thursday, May 4 we recognized past and present service-learning, scholarship of engagement, and societal impact fellows at the John S. Wright Forestry Center. This event featured one past service-learning fellow, Satish Boregowda. Satish completed his fellowship during 2009-2010 and then left Purdue University. Now he has returned to continue paying his service forward. Welcome back, Satish!
Finally, the Office of Engagement is proudly represented on planning groups supporting Purdue’s two Lilly Endowment Initiative grant submissions advancing university-community collaboration. One will focus on West Lafayette and the second Indianapolis. Stay tuned for more information on these community focused partnerships sure to further strengthen our ties in central Indiana!
